This is a reminder that this Saturday, October 27th, Cupertino Safe Routes 2 School and the Cupertino Bicycle Pedestrian Commission are hosting the 5th annual Fall Family Bike Fest! The Bike Festival will feature a bike rodeo and two new guided bike rides around Cupertino.

There will be two bike rides with two different routes to satisfy a variety of riding speeds. We will have a leisurely 5 mile ride (best for families) and a 15 mile ride (best for ages 14+), both routes will tour Cupertino schools, parks, and other landmarks. The rides are open to kids of any age, but riders under 18 will need an adult’s signature on a ride waiver. The bike rides will be chaperoned by experienced cyclists and will start and end at Cupertino City Hall so that riders can take advantage of the bike rodeo. Both rides will depart from Cupertino City Hall at 10:30 AM.

The Rodeo will be a bicycle skills and obstacle course with wooden ramps to teach young riders bike handling and safety skills. It will be located in the parking lot of Cupertino City Hall (off Rodriguez Ave.) and will be hosted by leading bicycle education experts, Safe Moves.

There is no need to RSVP for the event, just make sure that you arrive at around 9:30 AM to grab some pre-ride food and to sign waivers. Hope to see you all there this Saturday, October 27th.
