The inaugural Ride4Diabetes a great success! The 3-route bike ride that included routes to Woodside, up Big Basin Way to Skyline Boulevard and through Cupertino.
With all proceeds going to the fight against Diabetes, the ride was sponsored by the Cupertino DeAnza Lions Club. Walk-Bike Cupertino, along with the many sponsors of the event provided pre and post ride support. A fun party was held at the DeAnza College Sunken Gardens with entertainment by Crazy George, The Grateful Dads, beer from Sierra Nevada and wine from Ridge Vineyards to go with the great food. The Dude Girl Cycling Apparel shop from Larkspur, CA, displayed a wide variety of women’s cycling wear. The Northwest Y provided inspired jazzercise demonstrations.
