A city program that seeks to find safe routes and methods for getting students to school is putting out the call for parent participation.
Cupertino Safe Routes 2 School—or SR2S, as the city calls it—is holding a parent meet-up on Feb. 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. at community hall, located at 10350 Torre Ave.
The goal? To get more students safely biking and walking to school to reduce traffic around campuses.
The meet-up will include an overview of the nearly 2-year-old safe routes program, a presentation from the Palo Alto Safe Routes to School program, a question-and-answer session and an opportunity for parents to network and swap ideas.
