Hello all,
The next Cupertino Safe Routes to School Working Group meeting will take place downstairs in Conference Room C at Cupertino City Hall, despite our previous announcement that it would be upstairs in the EOC. Upgrades scheduled in Conference Room C requiring us to move upstairs have been postponed, so we’ll meet in our usual location. The meeting will be next Wednesday, April 10th from 4-5pm. We will provide cookies and fresh fruit. You’re welcome to bring your children.

This month, SR2S volunteers will be telling us about the great Safe Routes work happening at their schools. Parents Lani Honma from Homestead High School and Jennifer Shearin from Cupertino High School will talk about collecting data on student collisions and near-miss collisions at their schools. Lawson Middle School parent Seema Lindskog will tell us about a recent bicycle skills workshop conducted for Lawson students. High School Representatives Ray Zhou from Monta Vista High School and Elliot van Huijgevoort from Cupertino High School will give us an update on the High School Street Light Banner Design Contest. Finally, your Cupertino Safe Routes to School team will provide information on a host of upcoming events:

May 7, 6:15pm: Joint Cupertino and Sunnyvale Safe Routes Update to FUHSD, FUHSD Adult School
May 8: Bike to School Day
May 17th, 1:00 – 1:45pm: McClellan Kickoff Ceremony, Lincoln Elementary School
May 21: Council to Review 65% Design of Regnart Creek Trail, Cupertino Community Hall
May 21: Deadline for High School Street Light Banner Design Contest
