Cupertino Safe Routes 2 School Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce I’ll be leaving the City this summer. It is a very hard decision, as I will miss the Safe Routes community and the work and sweetness of all you amazing volunteers, but at this time in my life I’d like to explore other interests and finally do some long-term traveling. I can’t express in words how much this program means to me and how much I have been able to grow in the past three years with the help of all of you. I have so many amazing memories! Thank you to each and every one of you for supporting this program, answering my many emails, attending our meetings, and working to make walking, biking, and carpooling a safer and more available option for kids and adults in this community. We would not have a program (and I wouldn’t have had a job) without the dedication of you all.

In the interim of my leave (August 3rd) and the time when a new SR2S Coordinator comes on board, Matt Schroeder and David Stillman will be best to contact. You can reach them both by emailing saferoutes@cupertino.org. Matt will be the go-to for tabling events and late summer/early Fall meetings and David is best to contact for anything engineering and infrastructure related.

If you have any questions for me, please reach out via email or phone and I’d be happy to chat!

With Admiration,

Chelsea Biklen
