Welcome to the first installment of Walk Bike Cupertino’s new series: every month, we will highlight a local business which is particularly bike friendly.
Being bike friendly can mean a lot of things, but the presence of a convenient and visible bike rack, which makes it easy for cyclists to safely secure their property, is the most important criteria.
These businesses are attractive destinations for our community. We encourage you to visit them, and let them know that you appreciate that they are bike friendly!
Voyager Coffee
Today, let’s go to Voyager Craft Coffee! The shop is located at 20807 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino.
Voyager Craft Coffee customers will soon enjoy Class IV protected bike lanes as part of the Stevens Creek Bike Lane project vigorously defended by Walk Bike Cupertino during City Council meetings over the past few months. The protected bike lanes will be implemented by Fall 2025 and will allow cyclists to ride safely from Tantau Avenue (on the eastern edge of Cupertino) to De Anza Boulevard. The eventual goal is to continue the protected bike lanes west all the way to Foothill Blvd at a future date.
The bike rack is conveniently located to the left of the coffee shop in a highly visible location from the seats inside and outside the building. This makes a huge difference for patrons worried about bike theft, and is one of the main reasons this business is so bike-friendly.
Voyager Craft Coffee is a very popular destination. When I visited on the morning of Memorial Day, the queue was extending outside and most of the seats were occupied!
Voyager Craft Coffee offers a wide range of craft coffee specialties and food. I thoroughly enjoyed my cappuccino. The interior of the shop is nicely decorated and is a welcoming place for residents to meet, chat or work at any time of the day.
I enjoyed visiting Voyager Craft Coffee. Their convenient bike rack and location along Stevens Creek Boulevard make it an ideal destination for anyone wanting to ride their bike and enjoy delicious coffee! Join me in visiting it on your bike soon.
