Walk-Bike Cupertino advocacy group, will recognize the first ever “Bike Advocate of the Year” in December of 2019. A Cupertino resident, the selected individual will have demonstrated high commitment and efforts to make Cupertino “Safe and Easy to Walk and Bike”. In 2018, Walk-Bike Cupertino recognized outgoing Cupertino City Manager for his efforts in creating the 2016 Bike Plan, installing a wide range of buffered and painted bike lanes, and initiating the Safe Routes to School program.
The honored candidate must either be a Cupertino resident, employed by a Cupertino-based entity or a significant contributor to bike/ped development and safety in the city.
